This LL16-12 12-String Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar is a truly astounding instrument and is a testament to Yamaha's stellar craftsmanship. Starting with wood selection, this LL16-12 has been built with a rosewood back and sides, giving this guitar its punch and powerful bass response. A hand-selected solid Engelmann spruce top completes the body, and not only does it look beautiful - but it also provides this acoustic with a great tone, articulation, and resonance. Yamaha treated this acoustic with its special A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) wood torrefaction, giving it an aged, broken-in tone that makes it sound stunning. Paired with a dreadnought body shape, this LL16-12 has a wonderfully balanced tone and a ton of projection, so there's no need to worry about matching the volume of the rest of your ensemble. If, however, you need a little more juice to really let your playing be heard, this acoustic comes equipped with a SRT Zero Impact piezo pickup. This pickup was designed to retain the integrity your acoustic's natural tone, allowing you to plug your guitar into an amp without running the risk of it sounding sterile or washed-out. One thing to note, though, is that this pickup is a passive pickup, so you will want to use an external preamp with this LL16-12 if plugging directly into a mixer or PA.
