This mid-focused preamp/overdrive is designed to enhance your guitar's natural clarity at lower settings and dish out a thick, full-bodied overdrive when cranked. Whether you need a subtle signal enhancement or a rich, saturated growl to cut through the mix, the Voyager MKII is the perfect tool.
Unique to this model is a foot-switchable mid control that allows players to cut or boost the midrange up to +/-12dB. This switch works in tandem with the Freq knob, which lets users adjust the center of the midrange sweet spot, spanning from 250Hz to 2kHz. If you need to beef up single-coils, set the midrange lower for a slight lower-mid boost. For players who need more punch and articulation, crank the high-mids, and you'll have enough sizzle to highlight solos and lead lines.
The Voyager MKII boasts five clipping modes, each with a distinct flavor of overdrive, from Germanium compression to dynamic Silicon drive.
1. Classic 1N34A Germanium Diodes: Classic Voyager sound.
2. Germanium Diodes with Bass Boost: Extra low-end for a richer tone.
3. Symmetric Silicon Diodes: A more open, bright response.
4. Asymmetric Silicon Diodes: Minimal compression with a clear, driving sound.
5. Asymmetric Silicon Diodes with Bass Boost: The least compressed, with extra bass for warmth.
