Description
A vintage 1962 Supro Supreme 1600R and Model 600 Reverb Unit. This extremely rare pair is the same set that was previously featured in Vintage Guitar Magazine. Early in 1962, Supro switched the 1600R to the standard rectangular style. Examples with the V-style design are next to impossible to find--much less with a matching reverb unit. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for serious vintage amp collectors.
The 1600R has crunchy tone similar to other Supro 6973-based amps--midrange-focused but not sloppy-sounding like many smaller American amps of the era. Pairing it with the 600 results in a uniquely spacious sound.
Aside from a replaced AC cord on the 1600R, this set is all-original. This rare amplifier set has been cleaned and serviced. It is fully functional and sounds absolutely fantastic.
