Description
What makes this guitar special? This is a nice 12-string with a good amount of vintage vibe. It has aged gracefully as it has not only taken on a little deeper hue visually, but also has mature characteristics in its tone including a more open response and a bit of breathiness in its top end. Everything from the top of the lows up through the highs is incredibly rich and lush, likely due to the combination of its 12-string configuration, tone woods, and dreadnought construction which also promote a pronounced mid-range and heavily-chimed top. Because of this, it has fantastic articulation and plays equally well with riffs and chords. The neck is a bit fuller to help round out the width of the nut, providing a full-in-hand neck that moves easily.
Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It does possess various nicks, dings, dents, chips, and scratches, but still remains clean, especially for its age. The frets show only light wear and still have a considerable amount of playing time left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod is a bit stiff but still functions as it should.
Body: Double bound dreadnought body with spruce top and mahogany back and sides in Natural finish. Ebony bridge with uncompensated saddle and white bridge pins with black dots. Three ring rosette and black pickguard.
Neck: Round C shape mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays. 1 7/8” nut width. 25.5” scale length. Sealed chrome tuning machines.
Electronics: Endpin mounted output jack and under-saddle pickup with no controls.
Weight: 5 lbs 3.7 oz
Playability/Sound: Even for a 12-string, the round C shape neck on this guitar plays pretty easily and is a comfortable shape for both chording and soloing. Between the 12-string configuration, body shape, and tone woods, this guitar produces a robust mid-range, a lot of chime in its high mids and into the highs, and a warm, soft low end that extends the dynamic without being too present or overpowering.
Case: Includes hardshell case.
