Description
What makes this guitar special? This is an incredibly unique bass with a ton of vintage vibe. It has distinct late ‘70s flair with its maple and walnut body front and center. The DiMarzio pickups in this bass still have absolutely awesome tone with great low end response and some mid-range punch. The Badass II bridge and Grover tuners provide great stability, while the gold chicken-head knobs add a bit of additional character. Overall, even for its age, this bass plays and sounds excellent top to bottom.
Condition: This S.D. Curlee Yankee Bass is in fair condition overall. There are numerous areas of wear, some nicks, dings, scratches, etc., but the bass still looks pretty good for being around 40 years old and sounds and plays even better. The neck is straight and the truss rod works as it should. The frets show mild wear but still have a good amount of life left in them.
Body: Solid body of maple and walnut with routed front edge. Leo Quann Badass II bridge, Kahler brass hardware. Gold chicken-head knobs, nickel mini-toggles, and 3-way switch w/ black tip.
