Description
A rare model indeed & second year for this beautiful Excalibur. The name didn't change to Frisco until '95. Finished in an ultra cool Brown Vermillion with gold hardware, this exciting solid body Rickenbacker is a superb player offering rich, dynamic tones thanks to the pair of proprietary humbuckers. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape overall considering its age - there are various surface scratches & the gold hardware has tarnished, most notably on the pickguard. There's a light ghosting image on the back of the headstock from a previous decal, but it's not too bad.
Neck: Wide profile maple neck & fingerboard with black dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Schaller tuners are stamped Made In W. Germany. 1 3/4" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Neck-thru design with solid African Vermillion wings. Top-loading high-mass bridge with adjustable saddles & gold hardware. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 7 oz.
Electronics: Dual Rickenbacker humbuckers with 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with mono output. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
