Description

What makes this guitar special: Recently acquired from the family of the original owner, this pre-war beauty has a punchy midrange voice, with a sweet chimey high end, and great bass response. The solid mahogany body has opened up beautifully, and responds very nicely to fingerstyle, even holding up to flat-picking. It’s in terrific shape for its age, too-with no notable cracks or breaks. Professionally setup by the experts at Cream City Music, it will arrive ready to play right out of the case.

Cosmetic condition: Good shape for its age, with some standard wear and tear throughout. There are various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips, and scuffs present, with areas of finish wear and finish checking. There are a handful of scratches in the wood that were amateurly touched up with clear coat at some point as well. The bridge was changed at some point in the past-as a result, the action does worsen as you near the upper register. The neck has been heat-pressed by our luthier in order to better the problem, but it will likely need either a bridge replacement or neck reset to make it perfect again.

Body: Solid mahogany body in natural finish with single ply tortoise pickguard, and two-ring rosette. Replacement bridge with black bridge pins.

Weight: 3 lb, 7.8 oz

Neck: Nicely rounded solid mahogany neck that starts as a C-shape and trends toward a soft-V as you near the upper register. 1 3/4" nut width, 24 7/8” scale length. Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard is in great shape and frets have a lot of life left. White side dots, white dot inlays. Rosewood headstock overlay with gold CF Martin logo and open gear tuners with white buttons.

Case: Unoriginal, Deluxe Guardian hard shell case included. Case is brand new and fits like a glove.
