Description
Made for only a brief moment from about '68 to '71, the Typhoon III features a fretless neck bolted onto a traditional-style hollow body. Great feel with a warm, resonant tone. Pro set up included so it's ready to play upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Really great shape considering it's over 50 years old! Various minor nicks, dents & dings; surface scratches & mild weather checking. Overall the bass looks wonderful & has a great vibe to it.
Neck: Wide profile maple neck with rosewood fingerboard & white fret markers. Classic Ovation shaped headstock with Ovation sealed tuners. 1 3/4" nut width; 30" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-cutaway, hollow body with bound F-holes. Spruce top with 4-ply binding. Top-loading bridge with four adjustable saddles & original cover. Maple sides & back with 4-ply binding. The back shows off some nice flame figuring. Bass weighs 7 lbs 3.9 oz.
Electronics: Dual single coils with black bezels. Dual volume & tone controls with black "witch hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
