Description
Condition: This is a great sounding vintage parlor guitar with tons of character! It will need some work but is a great guitar for the price. There are several repaired cracks on the top. These have been glued and cleated and are holding together fine. A large portion of the binding inlay is missing on the lower treble side bout on top, This has created a small hole in the top of the guitar (see photos). There are a couple of cracks near the binding damage that have not been repaired and are showing some movement. There is a crack through the center of the bridge and three glued in dowels for support. The bridge was likely re-glued at some point. There is a long crack extending from the neck heel down the upper treble side bout. This crack has not been repaired but is holding together fine. There are several un-repaired cracks on the back running the length of the center seam. These lie beneath the center brace on the inside which is helping to keep them together but should be glued at some point. There are also two large un-repaired cracks on the upper and lower bass side bout on back. The one on the lower bout has been glued but not cleated. The cracks on the upper bout have not been glued or cleated and are showing movement. There are a few cracks in the binding. There is a very small gap on the back of the neck heel but the neck is holding in place just fine. Cosmetically there are scratches, nicks, dings, dents, chips and weather checking throughout the body, neck and headstock. Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear and plenty of life left in them. The neck has a slight back bow most prominent on the treble side but is ultimately very comfortable to play though the action is a little high towards the middle of the neck and higher registers. The lacquer on the back of the headstock is a bit uneven and may have been over-sprayed. There are no other signs of potential over-spray anywhere on the guitar. All parts are in good working condition.
Body: Double bound body with solid spruce top and rosewood back and sides in natural finish. Rosewood bridge with ivoroid saddle, and a bound sound hole. There is some intricate inlay work around the binding and sound hole on the top and back that really gives this guitar a beautiful look.
Body Dimensions: Lower Bout: 13 ¼” wide x 3.5” deep. Upper bout: 9.5” wide x 3 3/16” deep.

Weight: 3lbs, 0.3oz.
Playability/Sound: This is a beautiful sounding guitar. It offers a warm sound with a nice midrange presence. The body shape and size allows for plenty of volume and resonance. Even with the required repairs this is a great sounding guitar at a great price.
