A beautiful sounding AA mandola with a rich. robust tone. This wonderful instrument was just recently acquired from a private collection of nearly 40 rare & vintage Martin guitars, including tenors as well as mandolins, ukes & banjos. Professionally inspected & set up by the experts here at Cream City Music.
Cosmetic Condition: Pretty good shape actually for being over 90 years old! Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. Overall the mandola has a great look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & nice patina.
Neck: Mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard & cream dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Brazilian rosewood headstock overlay & open-back strip tuners with ivoroid buttons. 1 1/4" nut width; 15 1/2" scale length.
Body: Bent, solid spruce top with oval soundhole. Tortoise pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Nickel tailpiece with compensated ebony bridge. Solid mahogany back & sides with flat back. Mandola weighs 1 lb 8.8 oz.
Case: Modern hardshell case included.
