Description
An absolutely gorgeous sounding D-28 in an ultra cool sunburst finish. A superb dreadnought offering a rich, robust tone that's truly exquisite, not to mention fun to play! Professionally inspected & set up by the experts here at Cream City Music.
Cosmetic Condition: Prior to its arrival here, the guitar had some work done to it - the neck had been reset & there are two professionally repaired cracks near the soundhole on either side of the fingerboard. Both cracks were glued & cleated. There's also a repaired crack between the pickguard & bridge. Both the bridge & pickguard have been reglued. Aside from the repair work, the overall look of the guitar is rather clean considering its age. There are various little nicks & dings here & there along with surface scratches. The sunburst finish is still quite vibrant & the guitar exudes a true vintage warmth & charm. All in all, a real winner!
Neck: Soft V-shaped mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show a bit of wear, but still have plenty of life in them. Grover Rotomatic tuners work perfectly. 1 11/16" nut width; 25.4" scale length. Neck is straight & plays great up & down the fretboard.
Body: Solid spruce top in sunburst finish with 5-ply binding. Ebony bridge with cream end pins. Black pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Solid Indian rosewood back & sides with 3-ply binding & checkered center strip. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 9.5 oz.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with the original owner's manual & original sales receipt!
