A nice sounding banjo that's really fun to play. This lovely tenor was just recently acquired from a private collection of nearly 40 rare & vintage Martin guitars, including tenors as well as mandolins, ukes & banjos. Professionally inspected & set up by the experts here at Cream City Music.
Cosmetic Condition: Really nice shape with some mild play wear- various surface scratches along with some finish wear on the back of the neck.
Neck: Maple neck with some light flame figuring. White binding with black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl inlays. Professionally refretted in 1979. Frets are clean with no wear. Mother of pearl headstock inlays with Martin logo on the back. Five Star Planet tuners. 1 1/8" nut width; 23" scale length. Neck is straight & plays well.
Body: Double-bound maple resonator with some nice flame figuring. 11" diameter head with 24 lugs & nickel armrest. Chrome tailpiece with Grover bridge. Banjo weighs 9 lbs 4.3 oz.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
