What’s special about this guitar: This is a great sounding vintage Kay Vanguard electric with great playability. This is a super cool, vintage guitar with awesome styling and a unique design. Features include a pickup recessed into the pickguard, awesome red finish and a super comfy neck. On top of all of that, the guitar is in great shape and super clean for its age!
Condition: Excellent shape for its age! There are just a few light surface scratches throughout the guitar and some very light buckle rash on the back. The fingerboard and frets have light play wear and plenty of life left in them. The neck is comfortable with decent action and the truss rod functions fine. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid body in red finish. Trapeze tailpiece with a height-adjustable rosewood bridge. Dual control knobs and a single-ply white pickguard with the pickup recessed into the guard.
Neck: Very nicely rounded and exceptionally comfortable neck with a rosewood fingerboard. White dot inlays and a 1 5/8” nut. Six-on-a-strip open-gear tuners with ivoroid buttons, 25 ¾” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Original single-coil pickup recessed into the pickguard with master volume and tone controls.
