Description
Made for only a brief moment from around 1985-87, the IMG-2010 features a slim triangle-wedge body with a treble horn. Similar to the Roland GR-707, it offers MIDI sounds delivered through a rack-mountable controller which is included with the guitar along with the proper cable. The revolutionary X-ING IMG2010 is absolutely one of the finest guitar synthesizer controllers ever built, delivering excellent performance features, dead-on pitch stability, quality sound & playability. Fully inspected & fully functioning.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some finish wear. The screw holes in the back of the headstock were reamed out a bit bigger, but overall the guitar is in good shape.
Neck: Maple neck with ebony fingerboard & dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid maple body in silver finish. Custom Ibanez tremolo bridge with integrated hex pickup & Ibanez Microtuners. Original trem arm included & black hardware. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 5.8 oz.
Electronics: Dual Ibanez humbuckers. Controls consist of a master volume, a master tone, and a 3-way pickup toggle for the magnetic pickups. Additional controls for the MIDI unit include a 3-way mini toggle to select guitar, MIDI or both outputs; a balancer to blend the guitar and MIDI outputs; a sensitivity control to adjust the amount of pick attack necessary to trigger the MIDI controller; a velocity control to adjust the touch sensitivity; an assignable control knob which can be configured through the attached MIDI controller to control pitch bend, portomento or other effects.
