What’s special about this bass: This is an awesome sounding vintage Hofner solid body bass with fantastic playability! This bass features a contoured, double cutaway body design, two great sounding pickups, a beautiful flame maple sunburst finish and a super comfortable maple neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard. This bass is very versatile thanks to the pickups and controls. The bridge can produce a very punchy sound while the neck offers a full and round tone. The tone controls are highly useful for rolling off some of the highs for en even warmer sound.
Condition: Very good overall shape especially for the instrument’s age! There are various minor scratches, nicks, dings, dents and small chips throughout the instrument. The bass is really in great shape for its age! The fingerboard and frets are in excellent shape with hardly any play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck is super comfortable with great action and the truss rod functions fine. The pots, output jack and one tuning machine have been replaced and are upgrades from the original cheaper components. The silver insert on the middle tone control is missing, otherwise all electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid contoured double-cutaway body in flame maple sunburst finish. Chrome tailpiece with a height-adjustable 4-saddle bridge. Skirted control knobs with silver inserts and a 2-ply black pickguard.
Neck: Super comfortable maple neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard. Pearloid dot inlays and a 1 11/16” nut. Sealed tuners, 30” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Original Hofner pickups in the neck and bridge with dual on/off switches, master volume control and dual tone controls.
