Description
Made for only a short period of time in the early to mid '80s, this eye-catching Skyhawk has a futuristic look to it & is a lot of fun to play. Loaded with a pair of Guild X-79 humbuckers, this funky beast exudes an aura of cool. Professionally set up by our luthier with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & some buckle rash. A portion of the treble-side headstock horn had broken off, but has been glued back on & is stable. Overall the guitar has a cool, well-played look to it with a nice patina.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Diecast Guild tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is functioning.
Body: Four-point, solid mahogany body. Stop tailpiece & six-saddle adjustable bridge. 4-ply black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 13.1 oz.
Pickups: Guild X-79 humbuckers. Bridge - 9.65K ohms; Neck - 8.79K ohms. Dual volume & master tone controls with black speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
