Description
For years Guild guitars have taken a back seat to vintage Martins & Gibsons, but when it comes to 12-String Jumbos, there is no match against the monstrous F512NT. Featuring a solid sitka spruce top combined with solid rosewood for the back & sides, this gorgeous Jumbo unleashes a powerful voice that projects like a cannon! Rich, robust & dynamic, not to mention perfectly balanced between the lower & higher registers. Professionally inspected & set up by the experts here at Cream City Music, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for its age with good honest play wear - various minor nicks, dents & dings; scratches, pick wear & some mild finish checking. There's very minor finish chipping/chattering along the neck, but this is typical of older Guilds. There was a previous under-saddle pickup that has since been removed & the bridge was professionally reset. There are no cracks or breaks. Overall the guitar looks gorgeous & shows off a beautiful patina.
Neck: Mahogany neck with multi-layer binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl & abalone block inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with mother of pearl Guild & Chesterfield inlays. Guild gold diecast tuners in perfect working condition. 1 13/16" nut width; 25 5/8" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound Jumbo size body in natural high gloss finish with multi-layer top & back binding. Solid Sitka spruce top with ebony bridge & cream end pins. Black pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Solid Indian rosewood back & sides with geometric center strip. The end pin is a 1/4" jack, but there are no electronics. 17" lower bout width with 5" depth. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 7.9 oz.
Case: Original hardshell case included. Handle is not original.
