Description
The Bluegrass F-47 isn't a Guild model you typically see very often, especially from this vintage. A gorgeous "baby jumbo" acoustic featuring a solid spruce top with solid mahogany back & sides. Super fun to play, the guitar produces a bright, punchy tone that projects quite nicely. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action, so it plays great!
Cosmetic Condition: Cool vintage vibe with mild play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some very light finish wear. There's a tiny bit of binding shrinkage in the body waist, but overall the guitar has a great look to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Rounded mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Mother of pearl Guild & Chesterfield headstock inlays. Unoriginal Grover Rotomatic tuners. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: "Baby Jumbo" size body with solid spruce top & 6-ply binding. Rosewood bridge & end pins with mother of pearl dot inlays. Tortoise pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Solid mahogany back & sides with 3-ply binding. 15 3/4" lower bout width; 11 1/2" upper bout width; 5" depth. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 9.5 oz.
Case: Vintage hardshell case included.
