Description
The Blonde version of the D-44 doesn't pop up very often, but when it does, this model typically doesn't last in the shop for very long & it's easy to see why - the flame maple is truly gorgeous under the classic natural finish. Professionally set up with fresh strings so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some pick wear. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with an ultra cool, true vintage vibe.
Neck: Mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show a bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Mother of pearl Guild & Chesterfield headstock inlays. Guild-embossed Schaller tuners. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Square shoulder dreadnought with multi-layer top & back binding. Solid spruce top with tortoise pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Rosewood bridge with cream end-pins. The bridge is lifting ever so slightly, but still quite firmly attached. Solid flame maple back & sides. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 5 lbs 2 oz.
Case: Guild hardshell case included. The bottom latch is missing & the tolex is peeling up on the top.
