Description
A true vintage Country Gent that, aside from the typical binding rot, is in pretty good shape for its age & plays quite well. The double FilterTron humbuckers sound fabulous & deliver that great Gretsch sound we've all come to love. Professionally inspected & set up by the experts at Cream City Music, so it will arrive at your door ready to play!
Cosmetic Condition: Aside from the binding deterioration with lots of missing pieces around the body, the guitar itself is in really great shape for its age & shows some mild play wear - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some tarnish on the gold hardware. Authentic vintage vibe & a beautiful patina.
Neck: Two-piece maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & red side-dots.
Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl "thumbnail" inlays. Frets are in great shape with practically no wear. Bound headstock with Grover tuners in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width with zero fret; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is pretty straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound, chambered maple body with simulated F-holes. Bigsby tremolo tailpiece with Rocking Bar bridge & gold hardware. Gold plexi pickguard with Chet Atkins signature & Country Gentleman logo. String mute control works, however, the pad is a replacement. Back pad is in great shape with all the snaps present. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 2.2 oz.
Electronics: Original FilterTron humbuckers with gold bezels. Master volume & individual pickup volume controls with "G" arrow knobs. 3-way pickup, tone & standby selector switches. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
