Description

A rare find indeed! This cute, little Gretsch American parlor guitar features a solid spruce top with solid mahogany for the back & sides. The mahogany neck is super chunky yet still quite comfortable to play. Despite its diminutive stature, the guitar has a rather loud voice & produces a rich, shimmering tone.

Cosmetic Condition: Various little nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & some pick wear. There's a minor crack in the back of the body that was glued quite some time ago. Overall the guitar has a nice appearance with a beautiful patina.

Neck: Super chunky mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with micro dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Slotted headstock with Brazilian rosewood overlay. Gretsch American stamp in the back of the headstock. Unoriginal open-gear strip tuners work perfectly. 1 13/16" nut width; 25" scale length. Neck is straight & plays well.

Body: Solid spruce top with tortoise binding & multi-ring rosette. Unoriginal rosewood bridge & black end pins with abalone dot inlays. There is no pickguard. Solid mahogany back & sides. 12 1/4" lower bout width; 8 1/2" upper bout width; almost a 4" depth. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 2 lbs 10.4 oz.

Case: Vintage canvas case included.
