Description
Undoubtedly one of the most interesting takes on the classic violin bass we've seen lately. This ultra cool Greco VB700 was manufactured in Japan in the mid '70s & features some serious emerald pearloid trim all over the bass. Traditional sunburst finish & gold hardware round out the package. Fully inspected & set up ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Really nice shape for its age with only mild play wear - various tiny nicks, dents & dings along with surface scratches & some tarnish on the hardware. Overall the bass has a great look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & beautiful patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with green pearloid binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with pearloid dot inalys & parallel lines. Frets are clean with no wear. Bound headstock with mother of pearl Greco & floral inlays. Sealed-back tuners & zero fret. 1 9/16" nut width; 30 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Violin-shaped body in sunburst finish with green pearloid binding & multi-layer purfling on the top & back. Spruce top with flame maple back & sides. Trapeze tailpiece with adjustable ebony bridge & 4-ply faux wood pickguard. Bass weighs a deligtful 6 lbs 1.3 oz & is exceptionally resonant!
Electronics: Greco-embossed pickups with black bezels. Dual volume controls along with Rhythm, Bass & Treble slider switches. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
