Description

A great playing Thunderbird in really nice shape for its age with a comfortable feel & terrific tone. Fully inspected & professionally set up by the experts here at Cream City Music, so it's ready to play straight out of the case.

Cosmetic Condition: Great shape considering it's 45 years old - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & light buckle rash. The word SECOND is pressed into the back of the headstock, indicating the bass was a factory second, but there are no issues structurally or electronically. Overall the bass looks marvelous & has a wonderful, true vintage vibe to it.

Neck: Slender profile mahogany & walnut neck with cream side-dots. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Open-gear nickel tuners work perfectly. 1 1/2" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod functions fine.

Body: Neck-thru design with solid mahogany wings in sunburst finish. Three-point top-loading bridge with adjustable saddles. 3-ply white pickguard with Red, White & Blue Thunderbird logo. Bass weighs 9 lbs 0.9 oz.

Electronics: Dual Thunderbird humbuckers with chrome bezels. Dual volume & master tone controls with black "top hat" knobs. Pots date to '76 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.

Case: Original hardshell case included - also very clean.
