Description
A rough & tough player with a spectacular voice that's long been broken in - really robust & woody sounding that projects exceptionally well. You can tell right from the start this was someone's best friend, with all the right play wear to prove it. Despite its less than stellar appearance, this guitar has a montrous tone - big & boomy that can fill any room. You really need to play it to believe it! Professionally set up & looking for a new home - don't miss out on a great opportunity to own a true, vintage Gibson beauty.
Cosmetic Condition: Lots of good, honest play wear, just the way we like to see them - various nicks, chips, dents & dings, scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. Repaired back cracks & a little bit of top sinking, but nothing that interferes with the tone & playability of the guitar. Overall, it has an ultra cool, battle-worn look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & beautiful patina.
Neck: Mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Dark, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl double parallelogram inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Kluson Deluxe tuners work great. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Square shoulder dreadnought with solid spruce top in sunburst finish & 7-ply binding. Unoriginal rosewood bridge with non-adjustable saddle & mother of pearl dot inlays. Tortoise pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Solid mahogany back & sides with black center strip & 5-ply binding. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 1/2 lbs - great weight. Loud & powerful!
Case: Vintage hardshell case included - similar condition as the guitar.
