Description
A magnificent Southern Jumbo with an ultra cool vintage vibe & a true representative of all the charm & mystique we love about '50s Gibson round shoulder dreadnoughts. Offering a deep, powerful voice with a warm, rich texture & a distinct clarity you just can't find in other dreadnoughts, this gorgeous SJ is the ultimate '50s flat top. Professionally inspected & set up by the experts at Cream City Music, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: This was definitely somebody's go-to guitar with lots of play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. There are unrepaired cracks in the top of the body around the pickguard, but these obviously have no affect on the playability & sound quality of the guitar. Overall the guitar has great look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & beautiful patina.
Neck: Semi-chunky mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl double parallelogram inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Original Kluson Deluxe strip tuners with cream buttons. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod functions.
Body: Round Shoulder dreadnought with solid spruce top & 7-ply binding. Rosewood bridge with mother of pearl dot inlays & cream end pins. Newer bone saddle, but the original is included with the guitar. Large tortoise pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Solid mahogany sides & back with 5-ply binding & single black center strip. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 5.9 oz.
Case: Newer Gibson Custom Shop deluxe hardshell case included.
