Description
An excellent player's grade SG Custom - basically it's an original husk with all changed parts. A silky smooth, skinny neck that plays great anywhere on the fretboard. The triple humbuckers kick out rich, robust tones. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Very clean with various surface scratches & some light weather checking on the front of the headstock; minor dents & dings; tiny filled holes in front of the bridge. Overall the guitar looks great & has a really cool vibe to it.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with white binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Original small frets are clean with no wear. Bound headstock with mother of pearl Gibson & split diamond inlays. Repro "waffle" tuners & truss rod cover. 1 9/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body refinished in cherry. Repro Stopbar tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with gold hardware. Repro 3-ply white pickguard & back control cover. Newer strap buttons. Guitar weighs a delightful 6 lbs 12.8 oz & is exceptionally resonant.
Electronics: Unoriginal humbuckers with gold covers & black bezels. Three volume & master tone controls with newer black speed knobs. One the middle volume knob is push/pull to turn the middle pickup on or off. Newer Gibson pots & Mojo Dijon cap with 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Modern Gibson hardshell case included.
