Made for only a brief period from about 1975 until 1978, Gibson's Mark Series offered a variety of flat tops at a much more affordable price than their more well-known acoustics. Even today they are excellent budget-grade acoustics that play & sound great. And every bit Gibson! Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action, so it's ready for you straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Amazing condition for its age & really clean considering it's nearly 45 years old! Some minor nicks & dings; light surface scratches. Overall a real beauty!
Neck: Semi-chunky, nicely rounded mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Old-style Gibson script logo. Gibson Deluxe nickel tuners in good working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound dreadnought with narrower waist. Solid spruce top with asymmetrical rosewood bridge & black bridge pins. Black pickguard & faux wood soundhole ring with double-line rosette. Mahogany back & sides with wooden end pin. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 13.5 oz.
