Description
Cream City Music actually sold this guitar a dozen years ago at the Philadelphia guitar show, and just by happy circumstance, was recently reunited with it at the Dallas guitar show - now how cool is that! Still a dynamite player with an ultra cool, true vintage vibe. Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused & still in rather good shape for being 45 years old - various little nicks, dents & dings; surface scratches & light buckle rash. Overall the guitar looks great & shows off a beautiful patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Gibson-engraved nickel tuners. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Solid mahogany body with plain maple top in natural finish. Stopbar tailpiece with Tune-O-Matic bridge & single-ply cream pickguard. Guitar weighs 10 lbs 0.6 oz.
Electronics: Dual Gibson humbuckers with cream bezels & 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs. Pots date to '78 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Earlier-period Gibson hardshell case included.
