Description
A super cool, player's grade Les Paul Special with an authentic vintage vibe & exquisite tone! At some point an adjustable bridge was added & the wrap-around moved back as a stopbar. We decided to leave the mod as the guitar plays & sounds great!
Cosmetic Condition: Lots of good, honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. There is a "2" pressed into the back of the headstock just above the serial number, indicating the guitar left Gibson as a factory second. However, there are no issues with playability or sound quality. Overall the guitar has a great vibe to it with an authentic vintage look & gorgeous patina.
Neck: One-piece mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Original frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Original Kluson Deluxe strip tuners with white buttons. The truss rod cover has a couple of extra holes. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: One-piece, solid mahogany body with single cutaway. Stopbar tailpiece & unoriginal Tune-O-Matic style adjustable bridge. 5-ply black pickguard & black jackplate. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 8.3 oz.
Electronics: Original P-90 single coils with black "soap bar" covers & 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs. Pots & caps are original & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Later-period Gibson hardshell case included. One latch is missing.
