An ultra cool, player's grade Les Paul Special with an authentic vintage vibe & exquisite tone! Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Lots of good, honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The neck heel cracked quite some time ago & was repaired. In fact, the entire neck was removed & then reset by the previous owner. There are three large holes in the back of the body, just below the neck heel that housed screws with a metal plate. These screws were not necessary & were removed.
The neck/body connection is tight & there is no movement from the neck. Overall the guitar has a great vibe to it with an authentic vintage look & gorgeous patina.
Neck: One-piece mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Original Kluson Deluxe strip tuners with cream buttons. The buttons have shrunk a bit, but have not crumbled. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: One-piece, solid mahogany body with single cutaway. Wrap-around nickel tailpiece/bridge. 5-ply black pickguard & 3-ply black jackplate. Guitar weighs a delightful 7 lbs 10.2 oz & is exceptionally resonant.
Electronics: Original P-90 single coils with black "soap bar" covers & 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs. Pots & caps are original & all electronics are in good working condition.
