Description

An excellent player's grade Les Paul Custom, just recently acquired from the original owner. Loaded with a pair of powerful sounding DiMarzio humbuckers that deliver muscular yet dynamic tones. The sunburst finish exudes that classic '70s Gibson look & the silky smooth neck is super comfortable to play anywhere on the fretboard. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it plays & sounds terrific!

Cosmetic Condition: Really nice shape for its age with signs of typical, mild play wear - various little dents & dings along with surface scratches & light buckle rash. There is a pretty good sized chip in the bass-side of the body, but overall the guitar looks great.

Neck: Slender profile 3-piece maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Small frets show a bit of wear, but still have plenty of life in them. Schaller tuners stamped Made In W. Germany. There's a bit of pitting on a few of the buttons, but they all function well. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod functions properly.

Body: Solid mahogany body with plain maple top finished in an Ice Tea Sunburst. TP-6 tailpiece with Tune-O-Matic bridge & chrome hardware rather than gold. 5-ply black pickguard & brass jackplate. Guitar weighs 10 lbs 8.9 oz.

Electronics: Unoriginal DiMarzio exposed humbuckers with black bezels. Both pickups are fairly evenly matched at about 12.70K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with black speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch. Original pots all date to '78 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.

Case: Original hardshell case included.
