Popularized by Adam Jones of Tool, this is an authentic, true vintage 1981 Gibson Les Paul Custom in Silverburst finish. Super cool vibe & a dynamite player thanks to a pro set up from the experts here at Cream City Music.
Cosmetic Condition: Good condition overall for its age with some typical play wear - various little nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, buckle rash & some finish blemishes. Overall the guitar has a cool vibe to to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Slim taper maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Frets show some wear, but still have life in them. Multi-bound headstock with mother of pearl split diamond inlay. Gibson diecast tuners with built-in string winders in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid mahogany body with maple cap. Multi-bound top & back with 5-ply black pickguard. Stopbar tailpiece with Tune-O-Matic bridge. Guitar weighs 10.40 oz.
Electronics: Dual Gibson humbuckers with black bezels. There are a couple of extra screw holes around the bridge pickup & the route was widened a bit from a previous pickup. The original pickups are back in now though. Bridge - 7.72K ohms; Neck - 7.35K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with black speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch. Pots date to '80 & '81; all electronics are in good working condition. One screw is missing from the metal sheilding cover.
