Description
An excellent player's grade Les Paul Custom finished in classic Cherry Sunburst. Featuring a silky smooth neck & a pair of muscular yet dynamic sounding humbuckers. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Various little nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some mild finish wear. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & beautiful patina.
Neck: Mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Refretted & the frets show hardly any wear. Unoriginal Schaller tuners stamped Made in W. Germany. The screw heads have snapped off the high E & G tuners, but they are both firmly attached & work properly. Most of the screws are still present from the previous Kluson tuners. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Solid mahogany "sandwich" body with maple top finished in Cherry Sunburst. There's a very light sprinkling of bird's eye figuring in the treble side of the top. Stopbar tailpiece with unoriginal Tune-O-Matic bridge. There is a rectangular route under the bridge with a brass cover over it. The cover was secured rather tightly so we didn't bother to remove it. There's an extra screw hole just below the neck from a previous strap button. The pickguard is missing & the guitar weighs 10 lbs 9.4 oz.
Electronics: Gibson T-Top neck humbucker & Seymour Duncan JB bridge humbucker with 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with black speed knobs. Pots date to '73. There's an oversized jackplate around the output jack as the hole had been routed out a bit bigger for a previous XLR jack. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Unoriginal SKB hardshell case included.
