Description

Just recently acquired from the son of the original owner, this magnificent L-7 is a superb player bursting with charm & authentic vintage character. With a perfectly sculpted neck, this gorgeous archtop delivers a bright, punchy tone with silky smooth attack. It's voice is exceptionally powerful & projects like a cannon. All in all, a truly wonderful guitar. Professionally set up by the experts here at Cream City Music with nice, low action & marvelous playability.

Cosmetic Condition: This was the original owner's favorite guitar & was cherished until she passed away. There are various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. There are two professionally repaired cracks in the top - one above the bass-side F-hole & the other just below it. Both cracks were glued & cleated. The guitar was refinished after the repair. Overall it has a great look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & gorgeous patina.

Neck: Semi-chunky maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl double parallelogram inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Bound headstock with old-style script logo. Open-gear tuners with Keystone buttons in good working condition. The G tuner is slightly bent, but still functions properly. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod functions properly.

Body: Solid spruce top with dual F-holes. 3-ply binding on the top & back. Solid maple back & sides. 17" lower bout width & 3 1/2" depth. Nickel trapeze tailpiece with compensated rosewood bridge on a floating base & bound tortoise pickguard. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 5 lbs 10.6 oz.

Case: Unoriginal, vintage hardshell case included.
