Description
Made for only a brief moment back in the '90s, this super cool J-60 square shoulder dreadnought features a solid spruce top with Indian rosewood for the back & sides. The V-shaped mahogany neck is exceptionally comfortable & the vintage-style script headstock inlay rounds out the package nicely. Professionally set up & ready to play upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Typical play wear for a guitar that's over 30 years old - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & finish wear with light touch-ups on the top. There's some chipping in the bridge plate, but does not affect playability or tone quality. There's also a repaired top crack that was professionally glued & cleated. Overall the guitar has a great look to it & is very vibey.
Neck: V-shaped mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard & pearloid side-dots. Frets show only a tiny bit of wear & have plenty of life in them. Rosewood headstock veneer with mother of pearl script Gibson inlay. Gold Schaller tuners stamped Made In W. Germany. 1 11/16" nut width; 25.4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound, square shoulder dreadnought in natural high-gloss finish. Solid spruce top with tortoise pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Ebony bridge with compensated saddle. Ebony bridge pins with mother of pearl dot inlays. Solid Indian rosewood back & sides. Guitar weighs 5 lbs 5.4 oz.
