Description
What makes this guitar special: A super cool, true vintage Hummingbird with a few mild mods that make it an excellent player's grade dreadnought. The entire guitar was oversprayed, however, the cherry sunburst finish appears to be original. The bridge & end pins are not original either. Regardless, the guitar has a wonderfully clean look to it & thanks to a pro set up by our in-house tech, it plays & sounds fantastic.
Cosmetic Condition: Really great shape for its age with only mild play wear - a few minor nicks & dings along with light scratches. The neck heel has a tiny filled hole from a previous strap button, and there are a few minor repaired cracks in the body binding. But the whole guitar was oversprayed & everything looks really clean now.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl double parallelogram inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 9/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod functions.
Body: Square shoulder dreadnought with multiple top & back binding. Solid spruce top with mahogany back & sides. The rosewood bridge is unoriginal & also a bit bigger than what would have normally been on the the guitar. It still has the adjustable bridge, however, the end pins are newer. Large tortoise pickguard with Hummingbird motif. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 9.7 oz.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
