Description

What’s special about this guitar: This is a beautiful sounding Gibson F-25 Folksinger acoustic. This guitar has a very clear sound with quite a lot of volume and resonance. This particular model has many great and unique features. The neck is wider than most steel strings and shaped very much like a classical guitar. This particular one has a gorgeous Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard with absolutely stunning figuring. This guitar sounds a lot bigger than you’d expect based on the body size. This guitar does have a few repairs but ultimately it is a great playing acoustic in great cosmetic shape for its age!

Condition: Very good overall. The bridge has been re-glued and a large crack that was developing into a hole on the side was fixed. Both of these repairs were done with excellent results. Cosmetically there are some scratches, nicks, dings, dents, small chips and some weather checking throughout the instrument. Both of the original pickguards are gone and the laquer shows a very visible sticker ghost from where the pickguards wer placed. The fingerboard and frets are in very good shape with only light play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck is very comfortable and the truss rod functions perfectly. The action gets a little high toward the middle and upper registers but there is plenty of room to come down on the bridge saddle to lower the action. All parts are in perfect working condition.

Body: Double-bound body with a spruce top and mahogany back and sides in natural finish. Rosewood bridge with a bone saddle and ivoroid bridge pins. There are sticker ghosts on either side of the sound hole from the original pickguards and a black and white inlaid ring rosette.

Neck: Wide and nicely rounded mahogany neck with a stunning Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard and some incredible variegation in the wood grain making it stand out very nicely. Pearloid dot inlays and a 2” nut. Three-on-a-strip Kluson Deluxe tuners with ivoroid buttons. 24.6” scale length.

Weight: 3lbs, 15.3oz.

Case: Includes an unoriginal hardshell plastic molded case.
