Description
A superb playing Explorer just recently acquired from the original owner who kept the guitar in great shape over the years. The neck is silky smooth & the double humbuckers deliver rich, creamy tones. Fully inspected & professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Very well cared for considering its age with only mild play wear - various tiny nicks, chips, dents & dings along with surface scratches. The gold hardware has tarnished a bit over the years, but for the most part the guitar is in really great shape & has super cool vibe to it.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Gibson Deluxe strip tuners work perfectly. New bone nut added. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Solid mahogany body with single-ply white pickguard. Stopbar tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with adjustable saddles. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 5.3 oz.
Electronics: Original Gibson "tar back" neck humbucker with gold cover. Unoriginal Bill Lawrence double rail bridge humbucker. Dual volume & master tone controls with original gold speed knobs. The original black jackplate has a chip out of one corner & was replaced with a metal one, but the original is included with the guitar. Pots are original & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Unoriginal Star Case hardshell roadcase included - very heavy duty!
