An excellent player's grade, true vintage Explorer offering excellent tone & playability. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to perform upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: There was a headstock break that was professionally repaired by Rarebird in 1989. They refinished the entire guitar & also restamped the back of the headstock. Overall the guitar has a clean look to it now with some light weather checking, mild surface scratches along with some tiny nicks & dings.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Professionally refretted with medium jumbo frets that show no wear. Unoriginal Gotoh tuners. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid mahogany body in natural finish. Stopbar tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with gold hardware. Unoriginal single-ply white pickguard. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 6.7 oz.
Electronics: Unoriginal Seymour Duncan humbuckers with black bezels. Pearly Gates in the bridge & Jazz in the neck. Dual volume & master tone controls with gold speed knobs. Original pots & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
