Description
A marvelous jazz box with a rich, woody tone & gorgeous acoustic resonance that rings like a bell. The single "dog ear" P-90 sounds great & delivers a lot of warmth & depth. The Bigsby is unoriginal but is vintage nonetheless & compliments the guitar well. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic.
Cosmetic Condition: Cool vintage vibe with good honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Semi-chunky, rounded mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl double parallelogram inlays. The guitar was refretted at some point & the frets have been filed down quite a bit as well. However, there is still some play left in them, but a professional refret wouldn't be a bad idea. Kluson Deluxe tuners are in good working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Hollow maple body with Florentine cutaway & dual F-holes. Unoriginal Bigsby tremolo tailpiece with compensated, floating bridge. 5-ply black pickguard shows the typical curving, but no cracks. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 2.7 oz.
Electronics: P-90 single coil neck pickup with black "dog ear" cover - 7.12K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with gold "barrel" knobs. The original capacitor was dead & needed to be replaced, but is included in the case. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
