Description
What makes this guitar special: Made for only a short time, around '83 to '85, the Designer Series Explorer features unique custom design graphics on the top of the body, in this case a trio of gold, copper & brown lines. Additional features include a Gibson-embossed Kahler tremolo bridge with locking nut & a pair of dynamite sounding humbuckers. Professionally inspected & set up by the experts at Cream City Music, so it's ready for action upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The white finish has aged over the years & shows off variegation throughout. Overall the guitar has an ultra cool look with a nice patina.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Gibson mini tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width with locking nut; 24 3/4" scale length.
Body: Solid mahogany body with designer graphics. Kahler locking tremolo with adjustable roller saddles & gold hardware. Trem arm is missing. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 5 oz.
Electronics: Gibson humbuckers with gold covers & black bezels. Bridge - 13.84K ohms; Neck - 13.60K ohms. Dual volume & master tone controls with clear speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in good working condition.
