Description
A rare model basically made only in the '50s, the CF-100E is a small body acoustic with a Florentine cutaway & fitted with a single coil pickup between the neck & soundhole. This ultra cool example has been fully inspected & professionally set up by the experts here at Cream City Music, so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Lots of good honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches weather checking & some finish wear. There are a few tiny cracks around the output jack as well as some tiny cracks near the control knobs & a small back crack that have all been glued. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & beautiful patina.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with nicely aged white binding & black side-dots. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Kluson Deluxe strip tuners with cream buttons. 1 11/16" nut width; 25" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Small body acoustic with Florentine cutaway. Solid spruce top in sunburst finish with tortoise pickguard. 3-ply top binding & rosette. Rosewood bridge with cream end pins & newer saddle. The maple bridge plate is a replacement. Solid mahogany back & sides with single-ply binding. Guitar weighs 4 lbs 2.6 oz.
Electronics: Single coil pickup - 7.91K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with unoriginal gold speed knobs. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Vintage Gibson hardshell case included. One of the bottom latches is missing.
