Description

A gorgeous sounding Byrdland offering warm, rich tones with a wonderful acoustic resonance to it. The sunburst finish looks fabulous coupled with some beautiful figuring in the back of the body. The neck is silky smooth & plays effortlessly anywhere on the fretboard. The double humbuckers sound fantastic. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to play straight out of the case!

Cosmetic Condition: Really nice shape for being over 50 years old with only minor play wear - various little nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & some weather checking. Both pickup covers show wear in the gold hardware & the neck pickup cover has oxidized on the treble side with some "greening" effect. Overall the guitar looks marvelous with an ultra cool look & authentic vintage vibe.

Neck: Slender profile maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Multi-bound headstock with mother of pearl floral pot inlay. Kluson cast tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 23 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.

Body: Single-cut, hollow body with bound F-holes. Solid spruce top with 7-ply binding. Three-loop trapeze tailpiece with Byrdland engraved in the crossbar. Gibson ABR-1 bridge with nylon saddles on a floating rosewood base. Maple back & sides with 3-ply binding. Tortoise pickguard with 5-ply binding. The pickguard has a strip of plexiglass underneath it for support. Guitar weighs a delightful 6 lbs 12.2 oz & is exceptionally resonant!

Electronics: Gibson Pat No. humbuckers with 3-way toggle switch. The pickup covers had been removed at some point, but are now back on. Dual volume & tone controls with black 'witch hat' knobs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.

Case: Original hardshell case included.
