Description
A vintage 1946/47 Gibson BR-4 tube combo amp in player-grade condition. While many components have been replaced, it retains the original speaker and original tone. The original failing output transformer, which was a bit undersized, was repaced with a 50s-era Stancor with a proper core size.
Tone-wise, the amp has a lot of similarities with its iconic predecessor--the EH-150. It has great bottom end, a clean instrument channel, and a super-cruncy mic channel. An all-around great player--perfect for recording studios. This amp has been cleaned and serviced. It is fully functional and sounds fantastic.
