Description
A vintage 1959 big box Fender Tremolux 1x12 tube combo amp. This rare amp is in great condition and has been recently serviced and re-capped. It came to us with a less-than-ideal, non-original output transformer, so we've installed a proper modern reproduction of the original Triad transformer--hand-wound by Pacific Audio Magnetics.
The 5G9 Tremolux is a rare bird among Fender Tweed amps. On the surface, it looks like a large box Deluxe or Vibrolux. However, under the hood, the beefier power supply, long-tailed pair phase inverter, and lower-gain preamp make for an amp with considerably more clean headroom and bottom end than other lower-powered Tweed amps. It also features an amazing all-tube tremolo. This amp has been cleaned and fully serviced. It is fully functional and sounds absolutely fantastic. Includes original footswitch.
