Description
This gorgeous natural finish beauty sports a pair of original Wide Range humbuckers that deliver warm, rich tones that are both muscular yet very dynamic sounding. The semi-hollow ash body is exceptionally resonant & the silky smooth neck plays comfortably anywhere on the fretboard thanks to a pro refret. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Really nice shape actually considering it's over 50 years old - various little nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & mild weather checking. The natural finish has aged beautifully over the years into more a golden caramel color. Overall the guitar has an ultra cool, authentic vintage vibe with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck & fingerboard with black side-dots. However, the fingerboard inlays were changed to abalone dots by the previous owner & the fingerboard was oversprayed. Pro refret with slightly bigger frets than the originals so it's super playable. Frets are in great shape with practically no wear. Double string trees & bullet truss rod. Unoriginal vintage Schaller tuners. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck dates to '72.
Body: Semi-hollow, light-weight ash body with single F-hole finished in Natural. String-thru bridge with adjustable saddles. Unoriginal 2-ply white pearloid pickguard. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 7 oz & is very resonant!
Electronics: Original Fender Wide Range humbuckers. Bridge - 11.13K ohms; Neck - 10.42K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs. 3-way selector switch with black cap that's been glued on. The tone pot dates to '72, but the volume pot code cannot be read. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
