100% original & just recently acquired from the second owner, who purchased it from the original owner in 1978. Neither owner really played the guitar much & it's pretty much been tucked away in its case for the past four decades. A true time capsule piece in museum-quality!
Cosmetic Condition: Magnificent condition for being nearly 50 years old! The guitar was rarely played & kept in its case for most of its life. Various mild surface scratches.
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck & fingerboard with black dot inlays. Frets show only a tiny bit of wear & have tons of life in them. Oversized headstock with bullet truss rod & double string trees. Headstock decals are exceptionally clean & F-logo tuners work perfectly. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in 3-Tone Sunburst. Tremolo bridge with adjustable saddles. Original trem arm & bridge cover are included. 3-ply white pickguard & single-ply white trem cover. Tight neck/body connection & the guitar weighs 9 lbs 10.8 oz.
Electronics: Three single coils with even pole pieces & white covers. Master volume & tone controls with original 3-way selector switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with owner's manual & original leather strap.
