Description
A magnificent player's grade Stratocaster offering superb tone & playability. The body was refinishsed in an ultra cool Candy Apple Red & refretted with bigger frets, but everything else on the guitar is original, right down to the 3-way selector switch.
Professionally inspected & set up by the experts here at Cream City Music, so it's ready for you upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Good, honest play wear, just the way we like to see them - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. Overall the guitar has a great vibe to it, with an authentic vintage look & gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender, C-shape maple neck with beautiful, dark Brazilian rosewood slab fingerboard & clay dot inlays. Unoriginal, bigger frets show a tiny bit of wear, but have tons of life in them. Spaghetti headstock logo is in great shape. Single-line Kluson Deluxe tuners & single string tree. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck dates to '62.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body refinished in classic Candy Apple Red. The body date of '62 is still visible on the back. Tremolo bridge with bent saddles & an older trem arm is included. 3-ply mint pickguard has a few cracks & a small corner missing on the treble-side. The single-ply white trem cover also has a couple of corners chipped off. Guitar weighs a delightful 7 lbs 8.5 oz & is very resonant with a tight neck/body connection.
Electronics: Original black bottom single coils with staggered poles & original cloth wiring. Bridge - 6.72K ohms; Middle - 6.01K ohms; Neck - 6.25K ohms. Master volume & dual tone controls with 3-way selector switch. Pots date to '62 & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
