Description
Totally whipped with an ultra cool, true vintage vibe & tons of mojo! This '66 P-Bass has definitely seen its fair share of action over the years. A real beater, but a great friend to have on stage with you.
Cosmetic Condition: Lots & lots of play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & finish wear. There are cracks in the pickguard with some pieces missing. Overall the bass looks pretty beat up, but at least it's authentic.
Neck: Maple neck with dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in good shape with plenty of life in them. Open-gear nickel tuners are in perfect working condition. Neck stamp reads 5 APR 66 C. The truss rod functions fine, but the neck is a bit warped up beyond the 12th fret, so it buzzes a bit when played in that area. Below the 12th, however, the bass plays just fine.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body in 3-tone sunburst finish. Top-loading bridge with adjustable saddles. Bridge cover is missing. Tortoise pickguard is a bit rough -warped with various cracks & missing corners, but the finger rest is still there. Bass weighs 8 lbs 12.6 oz.
Electronics: Original split single coil - 8.65K ohms. Pickup cover is missing. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs. Pots date to '66 & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included.
