Description
A true vintage fretless P-Bass offering superb playability & dynamic tone. The black finish pairs perfectly with the black pickguard & maple fingerboard - just an ultra cool look overall. Professionally inspected & set up by the experts here at Cream City Music, so it's ready for action straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: This was definitely someone's go-to bass - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The black finish has dulled quite a bit on the top of the body & has an almost "burnt" appearance, so it's quite possible it got a little too close to some high heat at some point. Overall the bass looks really cool with an authentic vintage vibe & nice patina.
Neck: Maple neck & fingerboard with black side-dots. Headstock decals are in great shape with no bits missing. Fender open-gear clover tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck dates to 1975.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in black. Top-loading bridge with four adjustable "barrel" saddles & original bridge cover. 3-ply black pickguard with tugbar. The bass-side corner of the pickguard has chipped off. Bass weighs 9 lbs 10.1 oz.
Electronics: Split single coil with original cover. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs. Pots date to '75 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with the original sales receipt, owner's manual & Fender strap - how cool is that!
